    B43E from a pump for a Case 226

I picked up a Case 226 that had a broken connecting rod. I did discovered a lot of damage to the crank and block and felt it would be better to replace the original B43M. In craigslist ( http://maine.craigslist.org/for/5787339905.html ) I saw this pump that uses a B43E and had a lovejoy coupler already. What issues do you think I would have with this engine in the 226? Do you think this engine would have the speed range of the B43M?

The max rpm on the B43E is the same as the B43M as long as the governor has 5 fly balls, as far as pan, flywheel starter are concerned I can't say.
boomers influence will have more information than I do!

    Thanks

the 4260 is what is called a STOCK engine.
it was not made not made for any specific application
    it has a 45BB crank, 1 1/8 X 2.74 crank.
the crank can be shortened with a 4 1/2" grinder with
    a cut off wheel

gather the information from your 226 engine tag,
then please give me a call.
