    There is a slot in the block on my type and I had let it get out of that slot. Out of the slot and I cut the insulation on it.

    There is a notch cutout on the points cover for the wire to the coil to pass thru.
    The insulation on the coil wire in the pic had been cut from not lining up the coil wire with the notch when it was reinstalled.

    So, yours would be the side adjusting points versus top adjust. The top adjust style, if not careful,you can pinch the wire when you stick the top cover back on.

    With the rear facing, side adjust style, I don't remember if the wire can get pinched or not,,

    That was it! Removed the wire, replaced the hook type connector, made sure the wire was not turned. Problem solved!
